What happened to Suki from 2 Fast 2 Furious?
Do you remember the girl Suki? from 2 Fast 2 Furious, driving a pink Honda S2000 22 years ago? Her name is Devon Aoki. We loved her for her unique face, iconic style, and cult-favorite movie roles.
So much that people still remember her scenes till this day.
But then, she suddenly vanished from the spotlight. So what happened to her? And where is she now?

Devon Aoki grew up in a haze of glamour and chaos. Her dad is Benihana owner and Olympic wrestler Rocky Aoki, while her mom, Pamela Hilburger, is a free-spirited jewelry designer. And her half-brother is DJ Steve Aoki.
Devon’s childhood was spent running between New York, London, and Malibu, where she’s always moving but never rooted.
By the age of 13, she wasn’t daydreaming about school dances like other girls. She was sneaking into punk shows. And at a rancid concert, she made a trade that would change her life. She agreed to a modeling gig that opened a new door for her.
Her godmother, Fran Cutler, introduced her to Kate Moss. And next thing you know, she signed to Storm Models at 13. And from that moment, her career skyrocketed.
At 14, she was shooting with Nick Knight. At 15, she starred in a Primal Scream music video. And by 16, she was walking for Chanel and holding hands with Karl Lagerfeld as his newest muse.

Karl didn’t just hire her. He made her the Chanel Bride, a title reserved for fashion legends. And he did it while she was still in 11th grade.
She wasn’t tall enough. She didn’t fit the look. She totally disregarded the conventional ‘supermodel’ standards of the late ’90s, her success was revolutionary. With just height of 5 ‘5″ She was much shorter than most runway models, and had unique features—full lips, wide-set eyes, and distinctive bone structure.
But none of that mattered as she replaced Naomi Campbell as the face of Versace at just 16.
And while her classmates were worrying about math exams, she was on the cover of Vogue. Fashion wanted to put her in a box. Yet she became the muse for Jeremy Scott, starred in his most legendary shows, and defined what we now call the “Y2K cool girl”.
But then she made her boldest move yet, Hollywood. In 2003, she played Suki in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) without even knowing how to drive. She learned race driving from scratch just to get the role right.

Rihanna even ripped the look for a Fenty Beauty campaign years later.
Devin wasn’t just a model. She was a culture shift.
In the years that followed, she ruled fashion and film, starring in movies like DOA: Dead or Alive (2006) and Mutant Chronicles (2008).
Her role as Miho in Sin City (2005) was most memorable. She played a silent, deadly, katana-wielding assassin, and the stylized, monochromatic look of the movie perfectly suited her striking appearance
But in 2009, she vanished. No meltdowns, no headlines, just a quiet goodbye.
So what happened to Devon Aoki?
The truth is, Devin Aoki stopped acting full-time to focus on raising her four children with her husband James Bailey. Together they had one son, James Hunter Bailey, and three daughters, Alessandra Linville Bailey, Eleanor, and a fourth whose name is not as widely reported
But despite a life away from the spotlight, fashion never let her go.
In 2017, she made a stunning comeback on the Moschino runway.

In 2023, she walked the Met Gala red carpet in a gown fit for a legend, with her daughter by her side.
Devin Aoki was never supposed to fit in. She was born to stand out, and she became the blueprint for cool.
So, what’s your favorite Devin Aoki moment? The runways? The movies? The looks? Let us know in the comments.
